Discovery Gardens is staffed with experienced teachers who are certified by the state of Arizona and hold Master’s degrees in various fields of education. It is crucial to have teachers who understand how individual children develop and learn.
Discovery Gardens Early Childhood Center offers a variety of services to preschoolers, ages 2.10 to 5 years:
- Developmentally Appropriate preschool classrooms
- Early Intervention services for children with developmental delays
- DES Approved
The preschool program is Arizona Department of Health Services licensed. We follow developmentally appropriate practices and the curriculum is aligned with the Arizona State Standards for Early Childhood Education.
The teachers are certified by the Department of Education in the areas of Elementary Education, Special Education and Early Childhood Education. They continue to receive professional training and updates in the most current early childhood practices.
Children with special needs may also receive services in the following areas:
Free monthly developmental screening is provided, including vision and hearing, plus diagnostic follow-up evaluations, if needed.
The Discovery Gardens preschool program offers child directed, developmentally appropriate practices in a center based early childhood environment.
Programs are funded through various grants and parent tuition fees. The Center also accepts DES. Parents should contact the Center for child enrollment.
