Athletics Calendar
Granite Mountain proudly offers the following sports:
Track – Grades 6, 7, 8
Basketball – Grades 6, 7, 8
Wrestling – Grades 6, 7, 8
Football – Grades 7, 8
Volleyball – Grades 6, 7, 8
Cross Country – Grades 6, 7, 8
Our 7th and 8th grades have teams that compete interscholastically in football and soccer. Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders participate in basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cross country, and track.
For interscholastic contact sports (football and wrestling), it is necessary for each student to have a medical release form (physical) completed by your doctor, medical insurance, and the school-supplied parental permission form. All sports require medical insurance and parental permission forms. A physical is recommended for all sports.
Athletes are required to read and sign the Code of Conduct for Student-Athletes for Parents/Guardians. These codes are to be followed at all practices and games. More specific information will be given during try-outs for each sport.
Interscholastic sports in the Prescott Unified School District are set up on a pay–to-play basis at a varying cost per sport, depending on the length of the season and overall athletic costs. The fee is to be paid before the first game for all sports, except football (for which payment is to be made at the time equipment is issued. Should this fee create a hardship for the family, parents are encouraged to contact our school’s Athletic Director.
Fees for Pay to Play
The Pay to Play is $110 each for all sports.
