Principal’s Honor Roll
The principal will announce the honor roll (the top 10% of each class) at the end of each semester. The GPA is cumulative, based on the student’s GPA calculated at the end of each semester. A letter will be mailed at the end of each semester.
Renaissance
PHS works with the local business communicites to provide a program that rewards students for academic excellence. Renaissance cards are given after every 9-week grading period to students with no discipline referrals or unexcused absences and who meet the following criteria:
- GOLD CARD Minimum 3.8 GPA
- SILVER CARD 3.5 TO 3.79 GPA
- BRONZE CARD Minimum 3.0 to 3.49 GPA
Graduates with Distinction
PHS does not designate a class Valedictorian or Salutatorian. Instead, the school recognizes the seniors who meet the following criteria as “Graduates with Distinction”:
1. Cumulative grade point average of 4.0
2. Earned at least 24 credits
3. Taken at least one advanced placement course at Prescott High School
4. Earned the necessary 16 credits required by the Arizona Board of Regents for admission to the state universities
